Session Abstract

In his presentation, Frank Giroux from Bayer explores the integration of generative AI in supply chain management, discussing the challenges and opportunities encountered since 2023. He emphasizes the unique requirements of supply chain management and shares key lessons learned throughout this journey. Giroux points out that both AI technology and the existing information structures in large organizations lack the maturity necessary for achieving quick wins in the short term. Ultimately, he advocates for empowering employees and embedding AI into organizational strategies, as intelligent agents offer a perfect approach to teach teams navigate the uncertainties associated with AI.
